About
I'm DayAndrea Thompson, an artist from the Chicagoland area. My pieces aim to be thought-provoking, passionate, and inspirational. Expressing myself through art and revealing my perspective on life through a lens or words has been my passion since childhood.
I've been a power tumbler since the age of three, joining the Jesse White Tumblers at six years old. With the Jesse White Tumblers, I had the privilege of performing at Barack Obama's Inaugural parade, in the Cayman Islands, and the NFL Hall Of Fame. My freshman year of high school marked my first World Championship win. Throughout my college years at Baylor University, I won three Collegiate Championships. Unfortunately, COVID disrupted my chance at a fourth. I earned my degree in Film & Digital Media from Baylor University, followed by work in New York City for various businesses, allowing me to develop content for Gloria Gaynor, FX, and TNT.
Returning to my hometown of Chicago, Illinois, I've continued my athletic journey by assuming leadership roles with the Chicago Bulls. I now serve as the captain of the Chicago Bulls Incredibulls and am making history as the first female member of the Chicago Bulls Elevators.
I hold a special appreciation for the elements of life that encompass emotions, growth, and change. In my creative endeavors, I always strive to keep these elements in mind. I strongly believe that if my work can evoke new emotions or experiences for at least one person, then I consider it a success. My journey of expressing myself through poetry, photography, and visual arts is a powerful way to connect with others. By blending all of these aspects, I aim to craft pieces that will be cherished for many years to come.
